Katelyn Fenner, 14, of Flower Mound competed in the July 4th Boomer
Blast Wakeboard Tournament in Stillwater, Oklahoma and took first place
both days.
She competed in the Novice division and was the only female in the competition.
Katelyn also won first place in the Wake the Lake and INT events in
Austin, where she went up against other girls in her age group.
She will compete in the WWA Wakeboard National Championships in
Reno, Nevada July 14th-18th, where the nation’s top pro and amateur
riders will battle it out for the U.S. national title.
Katelyn recently helped 40 kids learn to wakeboard in Cleburne, TX
during a youth event and can often be seen at Lake Lewisville with her
friends.
